kadu malleshwara, halasuru tank and someshwara temple

Last week I visited the famous Kadu malleshwara temple and Halsuru tank and Someshwara temple.the temple at Malleshwaram is nearly 400 years old and recently sme new relics were found like the kalyani. as it was closed for the afternoon I could not go inside, but the temple and surroundings are not maintained well. as the shivaratri pooja had just ended remnants of the festivities were still there.

Halsuru tank is good but the eastern part needs cleaning.

the Someshwara temple nearly a millenia old and renovated and rebuilt during chola,.hoysala and vijayanagar times is in a pitiable state, the entire temple complex is strewn with construction materials, flex boards proclaiming that pooja, this offer by local politicians completely disfiguring the architectural marvel that it is. some new constructions made are actually defiling the aesthetics and should be removed to retain the ambience and beauty.

I had seen the temple in 1970 and absolutely it is in the same condition.many had encroached the kalyani and recently it has been cleared a bit. one can see the encroachments as the temple pillara are used by them to build their own houses.
